Our
PURPOSE
Together with the Foundation Huellas para un Futuro , we are part of the National Plan for the Restoration of Native Forests (ForestAR 2030).
We are also part of the Million Trees campaign, which promotes massive native tree planting throughout the country to mitigate climate change and improves people's Nature connectedness through the symbolic and fundamental act of planting a tree.
Nativa plants nursery
We have a nursery of native plant species, a seed bank and an arboretum with the most representative species of the jungle, with the mission of educating, inspiring and generating environmental awareness in our visitors through all experiences.
Reforestation plans
The Margay Nature Reserve is a privately managed protected area immersed in one of the last preserved remnants of the Paranaense Forest on the planet. This wonderful region combines all in one place the invaluable biodiversity of the jungle with the cultural wealth of the Guarani villages and the colonies of small rural producers. Therefore, our purpose is to contribute to the regeneration of the Paraná jungle and its biodiversity, to promote restorative economies through the diversification of productive activities and to revitalize the cultural identity of the communities that inhabit the region.

KAWSAY
Vivero de nativas & Lab de regeneración
Kawsay es un vivero y laboratorio de regeneración en el que producimos entre 100.000 y 200.000 plantines de especies nativas al año, y germoplasma para restauración ecológica y arbolado urbano.
Desde el vivero, facilitamos estrategias para restaurar ecosistemas degradados, recuperar la biodiversidad, mejorar la salud de las ciudades, y fortalecer nuestra resiliencia frente a la crisis climática.
Además, parte de la reserva fue declarada como Área Productoras de Semillas de Especies Nativas (APSEN).

Una campaña para restaurar metros cuadrados de selva paranaense degradados a causa de las actividades humanas, afectadas por la extracción de madera nativa, el monocultivo de tabaco o yerba mate, o los incendios.
Junto a visitantes, empresas y organizaciones, estamos recuperando la vida en zonas devastadas.

PROTECCIÓN DE FAUNA NATIVA
Protegemos y reducimos la presión de caza a través del monitoreo con cámaras trampa de especies de fauna nativa como el tapir, la corzuela, la paca, el agutí, el yacupoí, la yacutinga, el coatí, el mono caí y muchas otras que habitan en esta región y están amenazadas por las actividades humanas.
REFAUNAR
reintroducción de pacas y agutíes
Junto al INTA y la Reserva Natural Suirirí, somos parte del programa de cría en cautiverio y reintroducción de dos especies nativas amenazadas por la presión de caza en la provincia de Misiones: la paca y el agutí.
AGROFLORESTA
En alianza con la cooperativa de productores Monte Nativa, desarrollamos una agrofloresta: un sistema agrícola basado en cultivos sucesionales sintrópicos. Esta manera de producir alimentos permite regenerar los bosques nativos al plantar especies nativas como parte del sistema agroflorestal, restaurar el suelo, el agua, la biodiversidad y los servicios ecosistémicos.
